If the posterior osteophytes (the actual bone/vertebra) moves in flexion and/or extension then plot the osteophyte so you get the true measurement of slippage posteriorly and anteriorly…

If the bone does NOT move then plot the vertebra as if the bone looks perfect so the “false” measurement is not measured…I want everyone to understand this because one of the reasons for a break in George’s Line in DJD. So , If the joint complex is fixated, I prefer not to have this False measurement in the realm of questioning for the other side to focus on.
